Hi, I’m Jules — a 23-year-old solo traveler who’s travelled to over 30 countries!

My love for travel first began when I was 16, working my first job as a hostess and saving every tip until I had $5,000. My stubbornness to prove that I could save up enough money for the highschool Europe trip took me on my very first adventure — Amsterdam, Paris, and Iceland and safe to say it completely changed my life. That trip sparked something deep in me: a passion for exploring new places, meeting people from every corner of the globe, and experiencing the world beyond my own.
From that point on, I made a promise to myself (and everyone around me): I would visit 20 countries by the time I turned 20. Most people thought it was just a “silly little” dream (i.e thought there was no chance I’d make it) — especially my mom, who didn’t quite believe I’d follow through. But five years later, miraculously that “dream” led me to studying abroad for a semester in Amsterdam, where I took my first-ever solo trip to Rhodes, Greece — impulsively booked, of course, inspired by my lifelong love for Mamma Mia and the idea of living out my inner Donna Sheridan moment.
Despite sleeping through my multiple alarms for my red eye 7 a.m. flight (a classic rookie move which I can now laugh back on), those four days in Greece ended up completely changing my life. As cliche as it sounds, it was the catalyst that proved that my dreams were possible, regardless of how scary and nerve-wracking it seemed in the beginning.
What began as a goal to visit 20 countries in my twenties turned into something far greater than I could have ever imagined.
Travel has given me more than stamps in a passport — it’s given me lifelong friendships, unshakeable confidence in myself, countless stories to tell my future kids one day (to prove of course I used to be cool in my 20s), and a deep appreciation for every culture, flavour, and connection I’ve encountered along the way.
Through sharing my stories and adventures, I hope to inspire other women to chase their own travel dreams. I’m not the exception or anyone extraordinary — just a girl who decided to take a leap of faith.
And if I can do it, you can too.
